Choosing the Ideal Method By Which You Should Learn Violin

You can learn violin through many methods. Which one is right for you depends on your personality as well as your situation. We'll cover your options and which is best for you in the following post.
Face to face lessons are the first category. This can be private or in a group. Some say teachers are necessary to learn violin. This isn't so, but having someone at your disposal to consult during tough times can make a big difference.
Private lessons can be quite expensive, definitely the most costly of all your options. Group lessons tend to be available for at about half the cost of the average private lesson or less.
When you learn in a group, you have to stick to a forced schedule. In a group, there is additional motivation out of the embarrassment not to look bad each week in front of your peers. When you're paying regularly for something whether or not you make advancements, it can be considered additional motivation. By going to group lessons you will absorb the passion and mindset of the group.
For private lessons, you're going to get more personalized feedback. Often, due to the more relaxed environment, you will be able to ask more questions and learn more.
The next category is for people who prefer to teach themselves as much as possible. You can use a variety of materials to do this, including books, manuals, videos, and courses. Paper manuals are always lacking though. With paper you can't see exactly how everything is done. That pushes you more towards video lessons.
I prefer online violin lessons as there is less cost associated with delivery and less clutter for your life. You don't have to interrupt your learning even if you move or go on vacation, as you'll always have easy-access to the lessons. Violin Master Pro is a very comprehensive course in this area. Eric Lewis is the instructor who covers a wide range of styles. It costs less than thirty dollars, but even if it were more expensive, there aren't many programs out there that can compete with it.
Going the self-taught route tends to require more discipline. You aren't accountable to anyone else, and if you don't set a schedule for yourself, who knows when you'll make progress. Many like the idea of being able to go at your own pace cheaply, but the pace for most people is that of a snail.
For this route, a schedule of practice is necessary. Don't let yourself miss practice sessions as you can't regain the lost time or momentum. Find a way to get the benefits of the private or group lessons without having to take them. See if you can get others invested in your success with the violin. Also find and hang out with people who are passionate about the music. If you let your passion wane when the lessons feel forced, you will likely give up sooner or later if you haven't instilled in yourself the habit of playing.

Crowd Pleasing Piano Standards - The 10 Best Piano Songs of All Time

Music is truly an international language, reaching out to people of all ages and backgrounds. There are certain piano songs that are sure to please whenever they are heard. The following list of the best piano songs of all time includes a little something for everybody.
First on the list is 'The Entertainer' composed by Scott Joplin. This jaunty ragtime classic is still instantly recognizable, thanks to its appearance in the 1973 film, 'The Sting.' 'The Entertainer' gets toes tapping every time.
'As Time Goes By,' composed by Herman Hupfeld, is another classic popularized in the cinema. Not only is the song itself featured at the end of, 'Casablanca,' but it is also used as a recurring instrumental theme throughout.
Originally published in 1924, 'It Had to be You' is still one of the best known torch songs. Composed by Isham Jones with lyrics by Gus Kahn, 'It Had to be You' has been featured in numerous films and performed by numerous artists.
'Don't Get around Much Anymore' is a Duke Ellington big band jazz standard that translates beautifully to a piano arrangement. The song enjoyed renewed popularity performed by Harry Connick, Jr. in the film, 'When Harry Met Sally.'
Sometimes a more recent piece can instantly achieve status as a standard. Billy Joel's 'Piano Man' is such a song. 'Piano Man' is a great sing-along favourite.
'I've Got You Under My Skin,' a Cole Porter composition, has been performed by a wide variety of artists. However, the song is best known as a signature tune for Frank Sinatra.
A sentimental gem, 'Moon River' is a classic collaboration between Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini. As is the case with many standards, 'Moon River' gained its popularity from the cinema. The tune was originally featured in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' but over the years has been used in many other films and television shows as well.
No list of top piano songs is complete without Gershwin. 'I Got Rhythm' is a standout in a long list of popular work by brothers George and Ira, as is their Broadway song, 'Fascinating Rhythm.' Both of these songs typify the Gershwin style that profoundly influenced the jazz scene of the time.
Finally, 'Your Song' by Elton John (lyrics by Bernie Taupin) might be a considered a pop tune, but it's certainly become a standard. Elements of jazz and folk combined with deeply sincere vocals and lyrics make this a song that will always please.

The Best Hip-Hop Album of March 2011 - Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme by Reks

Aiight, let's keep it going.
March saw some very disappointing releases such as Snoop Dogg's Doggumentary which is as corny as the title, E-40's Revenue Retrievin' and Bizzy Bone's Mr. Ouija among several others.
Many people claim that my ear has an East Coast bias and I wouldn't attempt to completely refute that but I have no problem acknowledging great hip-hop no matter where it is from.
With that said, I am going to have to go with another East Coast artist for this month's choice of best hip-hop album of 2011 and I am going to chalk it up to a resurgence of outstanding rappers from the East and the fact that the West has simply gotten lazy with the beats and rhymes. Just the cycle of things I suppose.
Whatever it is I am happy to scrounge the internet, turn over garbage cans and lift rocks to find that good hip-hop that we all deserve because the current "radio" stations certainly aren't going to do anything except spoon feed us corporate sponsored trash that some surfer dude is now selling as cool.
I going to have to take a pass on all that and continue to bring you these reviews and allow you exposure to artists you may never have heard of so that you can decide for yourself and get blessed with real hip-hop.
With no further ado the best hip-hop album of March 2011 is Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme by Reks and he won by a mile.
Straight out the box Reks hits you over the head with a joint produced by DJ Premier titled 25th Hour and while deftly embracing a by gone era of hip-hop Reks hangs ten on Premo's sonic tsunami of cuttin', scratching and sampling.
The rest of the album brings the same force with production by Statik Selektah, Pete Rock, Alchemist, Hi-Tek, Fizzy Womack, Blaze P and Mike Frey making for an album with only three joints out of sixteen coming up slightly short.
The album is fire and just in time for the spring.
My favorite songs The Underdog produced by Blaze P and Cigarettes produced by Fizzy Womack and featuring lil' Fame from M.O.P. And should be the next releases if the folks at Brick Records really know what's good and want to make this cat a star.
Program your mp3 player with tracks: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
The Best Hip-Hop Album of March 2011 is clearly Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme by Reks and needs to be in your collection today.

You can record your beat directly from a drum machine or keyboard or use software driven instruments instead.
Once you've decided on a beat, then you can take your creation to the next level by adding other elements including a melody and bass line. You can lay in a melody on top of your beats to give your piece texture. The bass line usually rides under the beat to give the piece a solid foundation. But it's those beats that drive the song, so they really need to stand out.
Depending on the software you use, there may be a variety of percussion instrument sounds you can choose from when you make beats on your computer. Everything from cymbals to cowbells to snaps can add flavor and character to your beat. Don't be afraid to experiment; you never know what you might discover along the way.
